Will four R9 280Xs be bottlenecked by an intel Pentium G3220, Haswell, 3GHz Dual Core with 4GB ram for litecoin mining?

 

Scan have made this system http://3xs.scan.co.uk/configurator/litecoin-mining-pc-10 just for lite coin mining and i was baffled when i saw a pentium chip to run them 4 beastly cardsn it seems a bit out of place.

 

And no i am not a miner, just wanted to see what scan has to offer.

My PC specs; Processor: Intel i5 2500K @4.6GHz, Graphics card: Sapphire AMD R9 Nano 4GB DD Overclocked @1050MHz Core and 550 MHz Memory. Can you please explain? Wouldn't the GPUs be doing very heavy calculations?

No, CPU doesn't matter for coin mining. Also for that system I would say that you should get a cheaper motherboard and use riser card to go from 1X to 16X.

I am not buying it just needed to know that scan did not make a mistake when putting that system together, thats all.

For mining the cpu doesnt have such a big impact on the calculation rate. im not sure why.

becaus its preforming the calculations on the gpu's and not the cpu so ther cpu is just sitting there doing nothing thats why you dont need a good cpu for any sort of mining
