Nvidia vs Amd Image quality

As title suggests, do they have the same image quality or is it just a placebo thing?

They have the same image quality, it is completely up to the OS/App/Game what the image looks like. I can confirm that my games are pixel perfect exactly the same on both AMD and Nvidia.(I don't have Intel so can't test that)

that's placebo and a bit not true.

if an app/game developer optimises for one platform, it looks better. but if we are comparing a picture, it will be the exact same

I've heard that the Vega cards produce way better image quality than any GTX card, are those just false rumors then?

But jokes aside, DIrectX is DIrectX(and OpenGL is OpenGL), it's implemented the same everywhere, the performance is just different.

Optimizing has nothing to do with image quality.

False rumors, it all dpends on the Application and the display, the GPU just moves the colors around and sends them to the display, all other calculations are standard across all of OpenGL and DirectX.
