hi guys,

idk where to start, so when i boot up my pc today, it wouldn’t post from my gpu, but q-code was A0 so that’s supposed to say even though there’s no display it actually booted into windows. so i removed the gpu and connect to onboard so i can get onto bios to enable onboard. Install back my gpu while my dp is hook up to my mb still and boot into windows, checked that the nvidia CP was gone and device manager was not seeing my gpu, decided to ddu and reinstalled drivers, swap my dp to my gpu port and all is good now but now my cpu idle temps shot up to 60s (it sits between 30-35 all year long) so i decided to reboot and now it doesn’t post from my gpu anymore. Removed my gpu once again and boot from onboard, it’s been an hour now and on idle my cpu is back to 30-35c and that’s without my gpu installed. I’m gonna do a fresh windows install but I’d like to know if anyone experienced this before and what might be causing this, could it be drivers conflicting?

sorry for the long text, apprecicate any input

specs are as per sig/profile

driver conflict or even that the onboard gpu is still working so the power draw is higher and its causing the temps to go up. maybe a clean driver install will fix it or even a os clean install might help. I recommend backing up your data anyway with the new windows update bullshit going on but yes try to reinstall drivers then disable onboard gpu then if that fails try to reinstall windows.

Will attempt to ddu again and see if the same thing replicates, if it does I’ll just reinstall windows and see if I’m still seeing the problem. Thanks!

so when you uninstall have the card out but when you install put it in so you get the right drivers and then go to bios and disable on board then boot to the gpu.

Right, I’ll do just that, I’m really hoping it’s not my gpu that got screwed up
