So I found a old computer with the only problems being some bad ram and a bad HDD I was thinking I could play around with it and make a good web browser that could play some older games like age of empires and total war and give it as a gift.

The Mobo is a ms-7548 with a pci express x16 I have looked at the graphics cards and CPUs available and I was thinking that the following would work together but the old mother board is not on pc builder some I could you some help with compatibility

ViewMax GeForce GT 730 4GB

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition

It's a regular PCIE X16 slot so any graphics card will work on it provided you have a decent PSU if you go for a GPU that requires a PCIE connector.

CPU: Sempron 2500+ / P4 2.8E / P4 2.6C / A64 x2 4000+ / E6420 / E8500 / i5-3470 / i7-3770
GPU: TNT2 M64 / Radeon 9000 / MX 440-SE / 7300GT / Radeon 4670 / GTS 250 / Radeon 7950 / 660 Ti

You could probably do that processor. But keep in mind that there are only certain processors that HP has certified to work with that tower. It will probably work with other processors though. Maybe see if anyone has done that upgrade online.

I personally would not bother with any GPU under the 1050. The 1050 or 1050ti will be good for the tower because you don't need any power cable for the GPU.
