Hey all, ran into a bit of a weird situation today. Never before experienced anything like it. Built this rig about 9 months ago, and it's been running perfectly ever since, until this afternoon.

Relevant Hardware:

-ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080TI

-i7 8700k

-NZXT N7

-Corsair RM750x

So, I was playing some Overwatch today, when suddenly I realize my graphics card's fans are louder than ever before once I took my headphones off. I took a look, and only two of the three fans were spinning, and I had NEVER heard the rig this loud before, not even close. Additionally, I noticed in the NZXT CAM software, my GPU fan speeds were reading 0 RPM, despite obviously running. Lastly, I realized my mouse was jumping around the screen irregularly. The display just wasn't as smooth anymore.

I came back later, after powering off and back on, and the issue persisted. But this time, I had flickering red pixels on one screen. Unplugged and replugged power cables and display cables. That issue seems to be gone now (it had never happened before either), but thought it was worth mentioning as it may be related? The fan issue + jumping screen/mouse still persists. Any suggestions?

I should add that I have never done over clocking of any kind, and I the GPU wasn't even reaching high load or temperature during these situations (we're talking 40C with fans that sound like a rocket going off).

have you tried taking out the gpu to check the fans? It might be that the connectors have slid a bit out of the card, or something could be stuck in the non functioning fan. So my suggestion is remoeve the card from the rig clean it like never before and replug it

It's spotless, I am very picky about keeping it clean. But taking it out fully couldn't hurt, I'll give it a shot.
