I just started getting mouse lags yesterday for no apparent reason.

I took a break from gaming for about 2 weeks and when i went back to playing dead space3 i noticed the lag. It also happens with bioshock infinite and every other game.

I have a steelseries wow cataclysm mouse. I have kinda big hands and it has great ergonomics.

I use a 1080p screen and 3200 cpi if that matters.

Please can someone help me fix this lag. I tried everything.

Try updating your drivers on the steelseries website, also try updating your video drivers, make sure your using the fastest usb port ie 2.0 or 3.0 which im sure you are, the dpi is fine for that resolution. Lag can also be caused when playing at unsuitable settings in a game. For example if i play far cry 3 at 8xmsaa i get hidious input lag. Hope this helps :)

I wonder if it has beta drivers for wow? That would no doubt be bad for other games

thnx for replying guys this is my first post in the forum.

This may be a better description of the problem; i get an input lag of ~0.75 sec when i start moving my mouse in one direction, after smooth movement when i rest my mouse and move it in an other direction it lags again. And this is only in games. In the desktop it fine.

I've been using this mouse on my mouse pad since November and its been working very well. I don't know whats wrong now.

but i'll be buying a crutial m4 240gb ssd and will freshly install windows in that so hopefully with a fresh install of windows it will be fine.
