I am honestly quite new to the PC world, having been primarily a Mac user for the past decade or so. That said, I’ve grown tired of Apple as a company and just don’t see much draw to iMacs these days. As such I’m looking to build a PC to replace my work computer. I have a decent grasp on what I need and how to assemble the system, but I want to make sure everything is perfect before moving forward.

I am a professional photographer and spend most of my time editing photos. In addition to this, I do a fair amount of video editing, often in 4K. I will, admittedly, use the machine for gaming on occasion as well. As far as aesthetics I want the computer to be a decent centerpiece for my desk, but I’m not looking for anything over the top. I don’t mind RGB lighting in moderation, but I want to keep things looking as clean as possible. While I want the computer to be a nice centerpiece I would also like to keep it on the smaller side. The mini-ITX and micro-ATX form factors appeal to me quite a bit.  I’ve considered custom water cooling as the experience sounds challenging and enjoyable, but for now, I think I’m just going to stick with aftermarket cooling. Let me know if there’s any other information I can provide regarding my expectations and desires for this build.

After comparing components for the last month or so I’ve compiled the following list.

List.

1. Titan xp vs. 1080ti, which is better for my purpose? In my research, it's looked as if the 1080ti is strictly better value for gaming specifically, but the Titan xp will be a better choice for multimedia work. Do you agree? If no, do you think the 1080ti is strictly better performance and value for both gaming and multimedia work?
2. Is a 650W Gold power supply enough for this build? According to the PCPartPicker it's more than I need wattage wise, but I'm still worried about it not being enough.
3. Are there any major compatibility issues that I or PCPartPicker might have overlooked?

Sorry for such a long post, again I just really want to be sure everything is ironed out and perfect before ordering anything. I would love to hear any other comments or suggestions you might have for me. Thanks!

4. This is the memory I actually want, for some reason PCPartPicker only had this model listed which is much more expensive. Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between these and why the latter costs so much more?

At first glance everything seems to be compatible, but i have a few questions
1. Why 2 ssd's? A cheaper option would be getting a smaller ssd and getting a bigger hdd.
2. Why 6 fans? I think 3/4 would be perfect(2 for the AIO cooler and 1/2 for the case).

I would suggest getting a 1080ti, the titan xp isn't worth the price difference. The psu is more than enough. And if im not mistaken the difference between the memorys is that one is dual channel and the other is dual/quad channel.

Having my library on a pair of SSDs in RAID1 will make working with Lightroom and the like a much better experience.

I was gonna replace the two on the cooler with these, and then put the max amount in the case. In hindsight, it's probably highly unnecessary and will just increase the noise quite a bit.
