I want some help picking a good ITX case for a HTPC I am replacing. Needs to have enough space for a cooler, and perhaps a graphics card- but that's not too important. Please don't say the Silverstone Raven rvz01 unless you can link to it , cause I can't find it for sale anywhere. Thanks :)

Yeah but it's actually a good barebone and you can pick everything except a PSU and motherboard. And it looks cool. Other than that FC Node 605 or the Grandia below good too.

£465 pounds - thats over $750 without the CPU, RAM etc etc. It's only a HTPC , so I haven't got that big a budget. Looking at a 150 dollar case max

SilverStone Grandia GD06 is a nice case but quite large... not sure what size you are wanting. You can get it here LINK

Thanks , but it's a bit big( looks pretty wide) and supports m-atx as well which is what I am replacing. Trying to shrink down my HTPC - I have a Fractal Core 1000 atm

Cooler Master Elite 130:  http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Elite-130-Mini-ITX/dp/B00DRA4F06

It's a little tall for an HTPC IMO, but you can fit a full size GPU in it.

Yeah I have a Elite 120 , and they're pretty good , but I have less space in this room so the extra height is a bit of a pain. Kinda need something that will either lay quite flat or is pretty narrow -gpu isn't that important cause I'm prob gonna go with an APU

Maybe the Node 304 then, instead of the 605? Pretty darn small and honestly, very easy to build in. Have one sitting right next to me right now.

Looks pretty similar to the CM Elite 120/130 sizewise. How much wider than a DVD drive is it? Ty

If you mean by a DVD drive, the ones you put in a 5.25 bay, quite a bit larger. It's by no means a slim case (210mm). It is small, in comparison with for example the R4, from which I switched. And you can fit a H90+full size PSU+full size GPU in it.

Picture incoming...

It is even taller than the Elite 130, unfortunatly.

Sounds good, just not liking the size, but I guess an advantage would be the cooling- I have an old 120mm arctic cooling freezer 13 , would that fit? and yes i meant a 5.25 inch drive

I'm 99% sure you can. I've seen people with Noctua's U14s or even a NH-D14 in there (would not recommend). I myself have a H90 in there and it fits perfectly.

Yes. Little less performance, but I would not want to put in something like a H80i in there, it would cover up the whole motherboard (it is possible though).

I will try doing push-pull in the future, there's certainly room for it.

Warning: It is louder than most aircoolers, the pump is audible (have the pc about 30 cm from me), replacing the fans on your tower with Silent wings 2 probably is a quieter option.

Can't say for the h90 - but my h80i is pretty silent , with the fans turned down - well I can't hear them over the 2 230mm fans in my case , but they are spinning pretty slow. Ok just put my ear to the pump- can't hear a thing apart from maybe a tiny bit of vibration
