That looks pretty good, but I think you could geta cheaper motherboard. You don't have an overclockable chip, so you don't need an overclockable motherboard. Other than that, looks fine.

The 1700 is overclockable

It's more than you need, especially with today's prices.  16 is fine for what you're doing.  And if you do 2x8 you'll always be able to double it later.  I don't know the effect if any on dual channel impact.

Dual channel is better in most cases but especially in ryzen.

To clarify, I'm not sure if he can do dual channel with 2 sticks.  My mb only has 2 slots and I haven't done anything with a board with more in a decade.

Good point :D just fyi, you can dual channel on a 2 slot board today in most cases and dual channel is usually with 2 sticks

No, save your £50 and just stick with the motherboard and gpu i listed here https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/VsFzHh.

If you really want a newer motherboard, I can rationalize the 20 pound increase for that, but don't waste your money on a gpu that does the same thing.

the B3 has issues with protections, look for a corsair CX/be quiet pure power 10/coolermaster masterwatt instead.

What is your budget for the tower ?

Sorry for the late reply my budget is about £1000 give or take £50 and i already have a compatible cooler and a case
