i've had memory issues for months with my pc, i've now figured out that 3 ram slots don't work properly (known good sticks don't pass memory test in those slots).. anyway i've now configured the ram in a way that i think is stable.

how can i properly test it to see if it's stable?

That would be memtestX86+, best to remember the difference as it can be VERY confusing if you forget and download the wrong one. ;)

That just makes it even easier to forget.  I spent years not knowing there were two different almost identically named memtests, thus got confused when I downloaded the wrong one and it looked completely different.  So I always try to remember to use the correct name now to avoid other people having the same confusion.
