ive had a blue yeti for a long time and it worked great. but my boom arm broke and stopped using it. i just recently decided to start using it again and it doesnt work. i feel like its a windows update issue because it worked on windows 10 before. When i plug it in it gets recognized just fine as a device but it doesnt pick up any sound. Here is the kicker. if i listen to the mic through the built in headphone port i can hear everything. so the mic works, but somehow windows isnt getting anything from it. Ive tried changing my microphone privacy settings, but still nothing. i also tried the mic on a old windows 7 laptop, it works fine. anyone know of a way of fixing this besides going back to windows 7.

Sounds like a settings problem to me.  Is it set as the default device, and is the volume in Windows turned up?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
