I have 2 Sil 3124 raid cards in my storage PC, 1 is used for a 3.5" hot swap caddy and a couple of JBOD drives, the other 1 I now want to use with a 4x2.5" caddy Icy Box 4 drive caddy.

When booting the 1 first card shows the drives fine, the 2nd card just hangs then kips and the PC boots and the drive shows.
The problem is I can't get into that cards BIOS to setup RAID and it makes the boot up hang for about 2 minutes.

I disconnected the card with the JBOD drives and the other one boots fine.

The JBOD has the BASE BIOS and the other one has the RAID BIOS (not sure what the other BIOS is for "The ####.bin is an abbreviated BIOS intended for integration into system BIOS. Do NOT flash system BIOS into an add-in card BIOS" LINK

Any suggestions on what to check as I could do with using both these in the system.
Cheers
