with my Christmas money from this year i am going to upgrade my monitor, I am planning on buying two new monitors and using them for gaming while using the other monitor i have now as something I can watch youtube and movies on. But unfortunately my HD7850 Direct CUII TOP edition video card woudnlt be able to power that resolution (3840x1080). So as i had some extra money i was looking around to buy another one and i stumbled upon this -http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-HD7850-DirectCU-II-Graphics-Card-/231127799263?pt=AU_Components&hash=item35d04a55df&_uhb=1#viTabs_0. Its very cheap and i was planning on buying it but im not sure if its the TOP edition, If it isnt the top edition will i still be able to Xfire it ? thanks, Nathan

Double monitor gaming is not a thing, and the 7850 would have done it fine anyways. You can CFX it with any 7850, whether it's another TOP, an XFX, even a reference.

can't you just get better graphics card from the first

hd 7850 can't do crossfre with any hd 7850

I'm saying don't get new monitor just upgrade your GPU to something better remember it's 2 years old

and dual monitor is not that great if you don't need them for work

what are the gaming are you going to play if the are the high end once then i really recommend you to not do it

i don't know if this help, but... i have a dual monitor setup (with my 7850) and works flawless

i use a 1920x1080p + 1440x900

(i am pretty sure that she can do a dual 1080p and even a triple 1080p)

what connections you use on your monitors ?

(and what monitors you use)

At the moment I havnt but the new monitors, but do you think that 2 7850's in xfire could handle triple monitor gaming?

1s to all, yes  ^_^ (not a full fps but yes)

2x7850 =7970 (or a R9 280x)

i say that a single 7850 can use a 3x1080p setup (not for gaming with the 3 or 2 monitors)

but you can easy play in one  and work in the other (i do that)

if you want play on 3 monitors i recommend jump to a R9 280x / R9 280 / 7970 / 7950

(all with 3GB of ram and they are really powerful cards to)

in any case, check if you can buy a R9 270x / 7870 (or a 7950)  instead the 7850

I really don't have the money to go ahead and buy a r9 280x / 7970/ R9 270x... etc.

But I do have the money to buy this card on ebay which is only around 120$ AU (90ish usd) and xfire it then when I get more money upgrade to the newer cards in Q4 this year. so the 2x 7850's cant handle 3 monitor gaming at around mediumish settings?

i tink you be fine with the crossfire 7850  ^_^

Ok I realised the I have the HD7850-DC2-2GD5 But the one on ebay has a "V2" at the end. Can I still crossfire them?

i really don't know the DC2 line well, but two 7850 can do a crossfire easy (both need have the same gpu)

pass me a link with your two models and i will tell you for sure
