Hello!

I just turned on my pc and I get this message: ''CPU fan header not plugged in properly''

I open up my computer and check if the fans are running... yes they are all running.

So I get in the BIOS and everything looks good with the fans.

I get into Windows and CAM software is telling me: ''Fan Speed 0 RPM''

My CPU still have the same temps at idle as before, so what could be the problem here?

Is your CPU fan connected to your CPU_FAN header on your motherboard?

Yes.

I built this computer 6 months ago and never had any problem with that.

Even yesterday before turning off the computer there was nothing wrong with the fans.

It just spontaneously happened after a reboot?

Have you tried plugging the fan into a different header?

Yes. It happened just like that and as I said, the fans are all tunning normally and the temps are just as the other days.

Edit: just tried plugging it into another header. American megatrends screen appears with same message again

Edit 2: the message does not appear every time I turn on the computer even though CAM software still says 0 RPM.

You might have a faulty sensor. That would result in the error message you're getting along with the 0RPM readings.

Are you able to try another motherboard?

Still can't

EDIT: Currently running a stress test on the CPU. Could the AIO be dead? Because with the cache, FPU and CPU enabled all at once, I get thermal throttle even though I didn't get any when testing my OC. And as I already said, all fans are working.

Edit 2: @Crunchy Dragon Could this be the problem?: https://imgur.com/a/7TmehCn
