CPU is soldered on it, and even if it was socketed it wouldn't be worth upgrading because it's just an old AMD laptop.

 

But you can upgrade RAM.

Hi there. A few months ago, I bought a HP Pavillion 15 (2014 Model) for £40 second hand. There are quite a lot of issues but all of which I have the solution to, however I was wondering about the possibility of upgrading the laptop. I know that things like All-In-One PCs and Laptops aren't really designed with this in mind, but surely it is still possible. I was hoping to do a RAM upgrade and maybe a CPU upgrade (depends on if it is a socketed CPU rather than BGA). The exact model of the laptop is 'HP Pavillion 15-n270sa'. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

 

Edit: More specifically, I was wondering what the limitations are if I was going to upgrade it

Thanks, the cpu isn't the best but I can cope with that. The ram is definitely due an upgrade so thanks for the help
