HDMI Switchers?

Hello all,
Rarely use this forum but hoping someone can help,

I have 8 consoles all with hdmi cables and I have a projector with one hdmi port.
The problem is I thought I could cheap out and get two x 4 into 1 hdmi splitters and daisy chain for a total of 7 hdmi ports.
I have a feeling this is now causing issues as the projector constantly cuts out during use, I removed the projector and ps4 into another room, plugged directly in and it worked fine.

The above link are the splitters I bought.
Does anyone have any hdmi splitter recommendations, only trying to achieve 1080p so nothing fancy. But ideally something that won't constantly cut the image out.
