So i bought this new ups its 900va for my pc and i charged it for like 5 hours before testing it and i got pretty good results but my problem with it is that when i went to sleep i put it to charge and i woke up after around 8 hours and put my hand on the ups to notice that its warm which i assumed it because it was still charging? Is it not supposed to turn off my itself when it's fully charged? Or did i not fully charge it? Do i need to put it on charge for like 12 hours for one time? The thing is this ups only has one light and it only turns on when the device is on so there is nothing that shows if the battery is fully charged or not. Please help me is the ups supposed to feel warm from the top even if it's fully charged??

You don't need to know whether it's fully charged or not, ups is supposed to stay plugged in so it stays at fully charged in case of power outage. It's battery isn't the same as your phone's battery, it's not prone to damage due to prolonged charging because it has overcharge protection in it.

The heat issue depends on your ups model, some ups feels warm while operating, while some doesn't, so consult to your ups manufacturer about that.

You're supposed to leave the UPS plugged in and fully charged at all times.
Nearly all UPS's use cheaper lead acid batteries which don't like being cycled. The battery will last much longer being left charged and used only when necessary.
Lead acid batteries can get pretty warm when charging.

Is the UPS connected to the PC via USB?

It's not a race to the bottom.

I don't have a problem with it being warm i am just worried that it's at fault that it's charging when it's not supposed to, So you are telling me it's for sure ok to just leave it plugged in and charging and even if it feels warm after 12 houra that's ok and nothing is broken? Also i tested 2 units of the same model so i doubt it's a broken ups. And the ups is not connected via usb in fact now it's not connected at all i just left it to charge overnight and i will see tomorrow morning what will happen.
