How old is the PC? Is it a new build or an old one?

Have you made any hardware changes recently?

Has windows done any updates recently?

Have you moved the PC around recently or cleaned it?

Its not dying don't worry, probably just a quirk that happens. Computers tend to have many weird issues and some can't be explained. The first thing my brain thinks to do in this situation would be to wipe the CMOS but this will remove any overclocks or anything you tweeked in your BIOS/UEFI.

Built the pc around a year ago, the only thing I did to it was install the m.2 drive with an adapter and windows did a few updates. For the record I had the m.2 for around a month or 2, this thing only started like 2 or 3 weeks ago

I've done a little Googling and some people with similar problems are suggesting trying to re-seat the RAM, you could try that?

Is the 8 pin connector in properly?

Lil Pump could be right too, if the PC is OC'd it might be a case of the PC not being able to handle it. when it boots is the PC still OC'd or is it back to normal?

Sorry I've not come across this issue myself that's all.

I know all the  AM3's I have seen, owned and had access to did a "power-on, light-up, go cold, second or two wait, then boot fine" and I know a friend with two ryzen's that do exactly the same. Said friend is also a Tech, so he has seen it first hand year on yeat and swears up, down, black, blue and blind  that "it's just an AMD quirk".

Who am I to argue with a trained computer tech who is also a PC enthusiast?

If any cares to correct me, then go right ahead. I will admit here and now that my "hands on" experience with AMD based systems is somewhat limited, especially given I fell into them barely 3 years ago after lucking out on a freebie AM3 system. Up to then, my systems had been Intel based. By choice, rather than cost.

Instructions ? WHAT?!?!?! A man don't need instructions!       Oh............wait a minute...........................What's this bit for?  aaaaaagh!!

Ok, hopefully it is just a quirk like you said, also just tried to reset my bios settings and such but still the same. The only thing I noticed is that this only occurs when I turn my pc on after I've cut its power off i.e. I turn off the plug or PSU, if I just do a restart it starts fine. I was just watching a jayztwocents video and he mentioned something about computers doing something similar to charge capacitors or something? is that a thing?
