Optiplex 980 upgrade

I have an Optiplex 980 that I am trying to upgrade the graphics card on. What would be best to pair with the i5 650 3.2 ghz and 8gb ddr3 1333mhz ram in the system? I also have a 1080p 60hz monitor.

I wouldn't count on your PSU being strong enough for the 1060. Is it the SFF version?

It is the full tower version with a 235 watt psu.

GTX1050, GTX 1030 GDDR5 or an RX560.

If you have the mini tower the PCIe slot is probably the full 75 watt, you'd have to look up the model and spec sheet to be sure but beware that Dell and others have units out that have PCIe slots that are limited to 30-35 watt.  It's  ore typical to find the 35 watt slot in a small form factor but it is a thing. I'd probably be on the lookout for a used 1050TI at a good price.
