I am aware this is an old thread but I found this article: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3300167/components-graphics/amd-freesync-on-nvidia-geforce-graphics.html so those currently with a ryzen 3 2200g or a ryzen 5 2400g can apperently get freesync working along side using an nvidia gpu

I'm sure either NVidia or AMD will "fix this issue" in next driver update. My bet Nvidia will do it first. 

 

Or maybe µ$haft will "fix" their OS.
