Compatibility Issue

If you're buying in-store, there should be a sticker on the box labeling it as Ryzen 2nd Gen compatible.

 

The BIOS chip should also have the stock revision stamped on it as well.

By now, all the earlier boards should be shipping with a compatible BIOS for newer Ryzen chips.

 

I wouldn't be too concerned, personally.
