Internet speed troubleshoot

Hey guys, so, here is the problem. I had a perfectly fine internet connexion with a 10Mb/s download on steam for example. But now, it's been a few days, nothing special hapend and now it is slow, like really slow, it takes about 5 seconds to load an internet page and for example my steam speed dropped to 300Kb/s.... 

I am plugged with wire and not wifi always has been. I tried using a DNS. But other than that, I don't know too much about networking stuff so idk what to do.

Do you guys have any idea on what could be the problem?

Does your modem have WIFI, and do you have a phone with WIFI. You can check your connection speed with the phone. If not try using a friend laptop. Also try a new cable from modem to comp.

 

If you get, a good connection, with the phone, do a clean install of Windows and see what results, you get.

 

If you have  a bad connection, with the phone, you may need to call your ISP

 

Depending on your type of connection , phone line, cable... It can be a problem with the line .
