HS50 Microphone not Working

My issue is that today I bought the headset and connected everything properly. Once I try hearing things, it worked perfectly well. I begin to try and use my microphone however... it did not work. It began to echo whatever it heard through my headphones however. I require assistance.

Are you using the Y-adapter to connect to your headphone and mic jacks separately?  Try connecting to a different port or device to see if you have the same issue.
