So I wanted to have NAS and decided to do DIY build instead of buying one. Then I saw thing called Plex and I would like to get that working too, since it's going to be more powerful than pre-build system anyway.

Here comes my indecision, since I can probably do what I want multiple ways. What is the best way to have PC + NAS + Plex on same machine?

I was thinking in terms of using Linux as a host, get there NAS build and Plex, and then install Windows 10 on a VirtualBox. I don't know if I can get any sort of good performance on that Windows 10 machine though.

Since it's going to be powered on as much time as possible I'd say host has to be where I'm going to make RAID setup for NAS and Plex. Am I even close to being right?

Please help :)
