Hey there,

I’m planning a new build, quick breakdown of the parts:

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (I know NZXT is cooler looking but from what I’ve heard the interface is horrible)
Motherboard: Asus - ROG Strix Z370-I Gaming Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB Founders Edition Video Card
Case: Lian-Li - PC-O6SX HTPC Case
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Case Fan: Corsair - LL120RGB LED (Three Fans With Lighting Node PRO) 43.2 CFM  120mm Fans
Monitor: Asus - PB278Q 27.0" 2560x1440 60Hz Monitor
Monitor: Asus - PG279Q ROG Swift 27.0" 2560x1440 165Hz Monitor
Keyboard: Corsair - K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE Wired Gaming Keyboard
Mouse: Logitech - G502 Proteus Spectrum Wired Optical Mouse
External Storage: Seagate - Expansion 4TB External Hard Drive
Total: $1087.98

I’d be adding in a few strips around the desk as well. I’m brand new to RBG, and I want everything to match up if possible. Is it possible? If so, how?

Any critics of the build as well would be appreciated! I’m working on getting the parts together for a custom water loop, it’s gonna be chrome, a little more expensive but soooo worth it.

Thanks!

850w is overkill since you can't SLI, a good 550w unit is enough.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

I heard that for optimal performance you should get double of your draw, hence the 850w when I’d only be drawling ~359w

nope, a 1070ti+8700k probably draws ~300w or so. it won't affect performance.
