6900k not overvlocking

I have a Asus Strix X99 Gaming motherboard, with a 6900k in it. Until recently, it ran without any problems at 4 GHZ. but since i had to do a hard reset, it seems that i am not able to overclock it anymore. I can put in the values in the BIOS, and they are still showing up after a reset, but it seems that it doesn't work. Both Cpu-Z and windows task manager shows it at 3.7, it's max boost clock. I have tried reseting the BIOS, and changing the settings, but i am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Try updating the bios to the latest version, maybe something went a bit wack
