Hey guys, been a while since I've built a new rig from scratch but I´m helping a friend with a build for playing Racing Games on, mainly Forza Horizon 3, 4 and Forza Motorsport 7

My country has very high prices on parts so this is a tiny bit over 3000 usd and he would like to keep it around that.

PSU = Corsair RM750x 2018 Edition
Case = CM Silencio 550
Storage = Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD and Seagate 2TB SATA3
RAM = Corsair 16GB kit, (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz, Vengeance LPX
MB = Giabyte Z370 HD3
GPU = Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC Black 11GB
CPU = Intel Core i7-8700K 4.7GHz
CPU Cooling = Corsair H55 Hydro Series

Not everything is available in my country so I've had to use less desirable brands in some areas but if anyone has any concerns regarding this setup please let me know. Thanks

The only thing I'd change from this build is the cooler. A 120mm AIO won't be enough for an overclocked 8700k. I'd suggest something like an EVGA 240mm unit or a Corsair h100i V2/ h150i.

In terms of the performance, that build will crush the Forza games. Forza 7 runs at 4K 60 FPS on my Rx480. It can run at 8k 60FPS on a Vega 56. It's a very well optimised game.

Second PC: i5 3340s @ 2.8GHz | 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1333MHz | EVGA 750Ti SC | Cheap £7 250GB WD HDD Windows 7

Corsair H55 Hydro Series

120mm AIOs aren't going to be much better than cheap 120mm 4 heatpipe air coolers, get a 240mm at minimum

What's your monitor's resolution/refresh rate?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

The D15 is going to be pretty close or equal to some 240mm AIOs
