Hello.

Just recently bought new Asus Dual GeForce GTX 1070 OC. The thing is that my old Gtx 970 4gb wich has been made by HP and outperforms my new GPU by 10 FPS in almost every game.. Anyway, i uninstalled all old drivers and installed new ones.

I would sincerely appreciate any help.

Specs:

CPU: i7 4790 @ 3.60Ghz

GPU: Gtx 1070

Motherboard: Memphis2-S

RAM: 12gb DDR2 HP module

PSU: 500W HP module

The computer has been pre built by HP ENVY but the GPU has been changed as i already mentioned.

What does CPU and GPU usage look like?

What games, refresh rate, resolution, and settings?

Sounds like the old 970 may have been factory overclocked quite a bit. check the base clocks for the 970 and compare them to what the 970 currently has and let us know.

Yeah when you switched cards the games me have changed the presets to higher than the previous cards. I would also check if maybe the mode setting is at quality instead of performance. Your other card may have been set on performance.

but anyways we need more info.

CPU avg is 35 same goes for the GPU.

With 970 in ESO at ultra settings i got avg 70fps but with 1070 i get 50fps avg... PUBG in low setting with 970 avg 60fps, with 1070 avg 45fps.

So the previous card was an HP 970 in an HP desktop? If all the components are HP it might not like adding an Asus 1070...

From my research online, they suggest to update the BIOS of the Memphis to a newer/latest version and that it could be a PSU related issue. Especially for a company like HP, they will build the machine with the smallest PSU they can get because it's not intended to be upgraded. But have a look at flashing the BIOS first.
