The cheapest route would probably be to get something like a Xeon X5650. Although I'm unsure whether it would work with your Dell motherboard. Alternatively, if budget isn't a big issue, you could get something like an R5 2600 and a B450 board. A big downside to that route is that you'd need to get DDR4 Ram which is still quite expensive.

Gaming PC: i5 8600k @ 4.8GHz | 16GB T-Force Delta RGB @ 3200Mhz | Asus Prime Z370-A | Sapphire Radeon VII (Dead :( ), RX480 8GB | EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 | 120GB Sandisk SSD Plus, 120GB Kingston A400 | 4TB Seagate 7200RPM , 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM | Phanteks P400 Windows 10, MacOS Catalina

Second PC: i5 3340s @ 2.8GHz | 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1333MHz | EVGA 750Ti SC | Cheap £7 250GB WD HDD Windows 7

Yeah, you might wanna upgrade those.

What games are you playing that the GTX 1070 "isn't living up to it's name"?

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

That GPU isn't bad, MOBO, RAM and motherboard will have trouble keeping up with most stuff released in the last 2 years... Linus has a ton of tech tip vids on your alternatives...

Once every few years you need to take a plunge and upgrade to another series. Leap as far as you can afford. That will keep you satisfied with your system performance longer...

ok, ill look into that. You think a 550W would be good?

Here is the average fps i get on some games that i feel the 1070 should get me more on

PUBG Low graphics:40-55

R6S High: locked at 60 and cant change

Minecraft: Med-High: 50 and little freezes often

That processors a bit too old to be running those games.\

If budget isn't an issue get an 8700k with a Z370 board.
