No it is not, that Xeon is 771 socket, and the mb is 775.

Before that I had this mb. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5KPL1600/

 

I bought the cpu with a mod made to work for 775, forgot to mention that ;/

Are you going for the 771 to 775 Mod? https://www.delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/

 

According to that site only the following 771 processors work with your mobo: X5470, X5460, X5450, X5260
