Hey all,

I have this weird issue happening with the feature in windows server 2012 R2 Datacenter. I am certain it might be my Win 10 OS that could be causing the issue. So on VMWorkstation 14, I created a VM ( server 2012 r2 datacenter), I then added the Hyper-V features and after it does the install then asks to restart, the VM freezes up on the windows flag logo.

I have checked the bios and I have flashed to the latest and have virtualization enabled.

I have also tried with the VT-d option enabled and disabled.

I have tried remove add on like the usb controller to the VM just to have everything limited with failure.

I have also added the text lines in the vmx file hypervisor. mce.enable = "TRUE" hypervisor.cpuid.v0 = "FALSE" and the vhv one also.

My system:

CPU - i7 8700k

RAM - Hyper x Predator @ 3200mhz 16GB

STORAGE - NVMe 960 evo 500gb, 4GB SATA

GPU - EVGA SC2 1080TI

MOBO - STRIX Z370 E

PSU - EVGA 850W GOLD
