Best VR GPU price/performance

Go to solution Solved by Sakkura,

Even if it is technically a bit "too much" it will still allow you to add some supersampling, which makes VR games look better. As long as it's reasonably priced, I think a 1070 Ti is a fine choice for VR.

By the way, the Corsair CX430M is not so good. I would at the very least step up to a CX450M, which is a higher-quality design.

Hi

I am currently planning on building a new Gaming-Desktop-PC because the 1050 (Notebook GPU) I currently use for VR is on the edge of unusable Framerates.

So far I put together a list of components but now I'm not sure if the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Mini (8GB, High End) is too much or just right for VR.

It should Run VR Games at framerates higher than or equal 100 FPS.

Here are the other Components:

GPU

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Mini (8GB, High End)

RAM

Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x, 8GB, DDR4-3000, DIMM 288)

CPU-Cooling

NZXT Kraken x62 inkl. AM4 (3cm)

Case

CPU
Mainboard
PSU
Corsair CX430M
SSD / HDD
Samsung 860 EVO 250GB
WD Blue 1TB

Thanks for the heads up

I guess I'll buy a 500W PSU so I can upgrade to OC CPU later on

You basically have the option of 4cards,  1070/80TI  or vega 56/64.

Your choice seems adequate to me. Having said that, I am not a fan of mini cards.

Now you go with a midi case so a regular sized card shouldn't be a problem.

I'd advise to double check the performance of your card and then specifically the cooling specs compared to regular sized versions.
