Right I have a good few problems, I will list them as I talk.

My current specs are as linked, and I have had my custom build for just over 1 year now.

MOBO - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0054U7HIO/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

PSU- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007E7O7B0/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 has the 12v

RAM - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004CRSM4I/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

CASE - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0071KZNUY/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

CPU - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005UBNKWO/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

HDD - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006GDVREI/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

GPU - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SAPPHIRE-TECHNOLOGY-Graphics-Radeon-Express/dp/B00BMNJI2K/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1388444904&sr=8-15&keywords=sapphire+radeon+hd+7770 its not exact model because I bought my GPU from a shop.

This is what my setup looks like on the inside - http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g479/alexdamodder/Finalization/CIMG0609_zps74ba445d.jpg

The GPU is in quite tight and from my memory it just about fit.

Now I have 300 GBP to spend on upgrades and the only way to get extra money right now would be to sell my 7770 and maybe get an extra 70 GBP and same for my Nexus 7, so 140 quid extra but lets work with the 300 GBP for now.

I really want a Radeon 280x, this model to be percise - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-xfx-radeon-r9-280x-boost-6000mhz-gddr5-gpu-850mhz-boost-1000mhz-dvi-hdmi-mdport-voltage-unlocked

Although my problem is that will it fit in my case? and will the 500w be enough? thanks.

wouldn't you be able to move your hdd up a couple slots and make room for a bigger gpu? Also, can you measure in inches how much room there is between the pci bracket and the hdd cage?

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place

also, if I were you, I'd upgrade my psu and clean up the cables. From what I'm looking at, and I'm assuming you have a front intake fan, a lot of the airflow is being restricted from reaching your gpu and cpu.
