When I put my PC under a load, say the CPU Z benchmark or stress test, one of the the temp sensors reports temps over 90 C. Thats when I have it the CPU OC'd to 5 ghz (using Asus BOIS build in OC utility), at stock speeds its more like 70 under load. Can anyone identify what sensor it is? (Will post pics in a bit, got to OC the PC first)

Specs

i7 8700k cpu

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 AIO CPU Liquid Cooler

ASUS Prime Z370-A mobo

EVGA 600w psu

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 windforce

16 GB ram t force

970 evo NVMe 250 GB

My first expectation would be a VRM sensor mate for your CPU power phases.

It's the highest temperature on my 6700K overclocked system, where it reaches about 100C when my cpu is fully loaded at about 85C. VRM's can handle a lot of heat, most are rated to 130 before thermal runaway happens.

So, you don't think I need to worry about it? Oh, and are those temps good for my system?

If it's 24/7 stable and you're willing to keep it maintained, I'd say yes - looks good. :)

I would get some extra confirmation, but I can't imagine it being anything else.

Try checking running Hwinfo64 - it may be able to identify the sensor.

Honestly that does NOT look good to me, you think I screwed up the thermal paste?

You're right, that is very high - what is your cooling setup (Edit: Sorry, I know what cooler you have, I meant the rest of the config like fans)? CPU package means the temperature of the cpu topcase - are you delidded?

90C+ on topcase being that high means you're super close to the thermal limits of your cooler (or the thermal paste  like you said).

What voltage are you running at?

I used the ASUS BOIS easy tweak because I don't need every ounce of performance

The problem isn't the performance you're getting mate, it's the voltage being pushed to achieve it. Manually reduce your voltage, since 1.455 is a figure you should really be looking at minimum of a custom liquid cooler, possibly with an inline chiller.

You should be able to reduce it fairly significantly, and it will be a massive improvement to temps.
