Hey All ?

I'm getting ready build a new editing rig and I'm considering using the IC Graphite Thermal Pad instead of paste on my CPU. It's going to be a Threadripper powered box and I'm worried that even with the 40mm x 40mm pad that I won't completely cover the die.

Has anyone already used this with a Threadripper? Was one sufficient? Can/Should I use two?

Or should I just get some high quality goop and forget about the neatness of a graphite pad? If so, what paste would you recommend?

Any advice that anyone can offer is appreciated!

Get some arctic silver or kryonaut instead. those are smaller pads and for the money they arent really worth it. traditional compound isnt that much of a mess to make a pad worth it anyway
