I have a Thermaltake X9 (yup, the giant crazy one) and will be putting 2 480mm radiators in the bottom of it soon.  It's best to have these pulling air from the bottom and pushing it to the top where it is exhausted by other fans  right?  I can't fit the radiators in the top with my current set up, so it's not an option or I'd just do that.

If I mount them in the bottom of the case should they pull air in and push it to the top of the case, or push air through the radiators out the bottom??

Curious if anyone has a bottom mounted set up with some experience to share.

Thanks!

Heat rises, that seems like it would bring good temperatures as long as there's enough room for a good intake below the case.

Plenty of room with this behemoth.  It sits on feet about 2 inches tall and will always be on top of a desk, so no carpet issues to worry about.

I have 2 200mm fans pulling air in from the front, combined with potentially 8 120mm fans pulling air through the radiators from the bottom.  That's some serious flow, Yo.

It's so crazy it just .... might.... work.O.o

Crazy isn't quite the word I would use, but it definitely sounds promising.

I agree with what @Crunchy Dragon said. Intake on the radiator seems like a better option to me, and I don't see many possible issues. I would just make sure you have enough space on the bottom for the radiator to breathe, and that you have enough exaust fans so that the air isn't just sitting in your case. Good luck!

as others mentioned heat rises so pulling fresh air in and exhausting it up top would be the best bet. my 360 rad is a bottom mount as well, and I have the fans on the bottom pulling fresh air in and blowing through the rad. My idle temps are around 22 Celsius
