Is there a way to find my motherboard without opening my computer?

remembering what you bought, or have whatever retailer you used do it for you. newegg and amazon have purchase histories.

well, it sure looks a lot like you forgot to install drivers.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I already installed the latest drivers.

in that case, try a little overclock or even an underclock with some software like precision XOC. also, try a stress test with aida 64 to force usage.

However, I could have done something wrong while installing...

not likely, because if you were using geforce experience (which nvidia basically forces) then it should do it for you. so long as you used express settings and all.

Alright, I'm gonna try downloading drivers one more time and see if that helps. If that doesn't, do you have any other ideas?

just like i said before. Try to force usage. also open device manager to see if it's recognized.

Alright, I'll try that in a second. It's recognized, but could the Intel HD Graphics 630 mess this up? image.png.105446b56c71baaec0ba8b3a15881b28.png

if you need to, use the bios to make the PCIe x16 the default video out. it could be passing video through the card without using the GPU

Alright, and how would I do that when I'm in BIOS? thanks

check out a youtube video regarding the motherboard you have. Each brand has a different UI and different features, so it's not cut and dry.

My motherboard is the ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME H270-PLUS

ok so asus prime h270-plus is what you need to look for. hopefully the other measures work though, because this approach is more tedious.

It shows it's compatible with the 1080... However speccy says my motherboard is 100 degrees Celsius right now, so that could be the problem.

VRMs can operate between 115 and 150 Celsius, so you should be fine. and yea, the graphics card is compatible. Literally all PCIe graphics cards are compatible.

Alright, what was the other suggestion you had? And if that doesn't work, anything else? I could've gotten scammed when I ordered it, but that's highly unlikely.

This stuff. Precision XOC and aida64 can be downloaded for free. also, get HWMonitor for enhanced accuracy if you're not already using it or preferred software like it.
