Bioshock 1 Before Infinite?

Should I play Bioshock 1 and possibly 2 before Infinite? I want the full experience, and with hard storylined games, starting in the middle can be disappointing.

It's not essential as the story line (AFAIK) doesn't follow on from the previous games. There are common themes throughout, but then that's to be expected. If you could pick up Bioshock 1&2 on the cheap in a Steam sale, it may be worth it.

I bought 1 and 2 just for this reason. Played serveral hours of 1 and gave it up because I got bored.

Yeah man, i've just got it (courtesy of someone:D) and so far it's been awesome - sucks i've had to work otherwise i'd be all over it. Enjoy it!
