Hey everyone,

so my PC is just over 5 years old now and it's safe to say it's starting to run into some issues.

I'm not going to go into all of them now but just trust me <3.

So before I go into the list I just want to mention that I am keeping my GPU and current storage (SSD & 2 HDD) and am also going to get a new HDD.

I also wanted to say that I got the GPU at the start of 2018 so that's why its overkill for my other components (somewhat)....

My current specs are -

CPU : Intel Core i7-4770

COOLER : Intel Stock....
GPU : MSI GeForce GTX 1080 *KEEPING*
MOBO : Asus Z87-Pro
OS : Windows 10 64 Bit
RAM : 16GB DDR3-1600 (2x8GB)
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB *KEEPING*
HDD 1: 2TB WD Blue *KEEPING*
HDD 2: 1TB Seagate 7200.12 *FAULTY OLD BOOT HDD ALMOST DEAD NOT KEEPING*
HDD 3: 500GB Seagate 7200.14 *KEEPING*

Now before I show my new list of what I am going to get I am going to talk about why I am upgrading and how many monitors I have etc etc....

I am upgrading because as I said my PC is slowly losing performance and is in need of upgrades.

I am going to be using the computer for gaming, streaming, video editing and school work (plus anything else I will need it for)

I have tried to future proof this PC so it will last me for hopefully another 5 years.

I am running two monitors currently but somewhere down the line I will probably get a third.

I already own all my peripherals so I am fine on that part.

Finally, I live in Australia so obviously I am shopping in AUD.

Ok and now for my list....

Looks good all the way down (though you could skimp a tiny bit more on the PSU if you so felt like it).

Great choice with the 8700k.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

You really don't need that wattage at all. Myself, I would get a 650. If for some reason I felt like I needed to burn more money for no reason, I'd get MAX a 750W.

I just reckon the 850 is more future proof, thats all.
