CPU safe temp confusion

I'm confused about what a safe temp for my cpu is. 

Some articles claim that no cpu should ever go above 60c.(https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/desktop-pc/cpu-temp-3498564/) This one recommends between 45-50 and that seems low. 

Others claim its able to push fowards past 70 and into mid 80s and be completely safe. I'm using an i5 8600k if that makes any difference.

Linus has a video on safe temperatures on his techquickie channel.

 

IMO, even 80C is a good temperature for a CPU under full load but most people don't want their CPU going past 70C afaik.

Safe temps for operations are generally around 75c under load.

No that website is BS. They don't understand that CPUs are designed to be at high temperatures for long periods of time (around 80°C for ryzen even 90°C on intel chips)
