Guys my cpu was running at 77c so i decided to change the thermal paste, i used ceramique 2 before but this time i didnt had any so i used the default cooler master thernal paste which came with the hyper tx3 evo. So i used it and launched my pc and it was running at 47c idle which was strange but i ran rainbow six siege and the cpu sky rocketed to 80 then stopped at 96c! I immediately turned it off and opened it up to cool down. The heat sink was burnning hot!

I left it like that and still havent touched it. What should i do? Please help!

Cpu: i7 8700 non k

Bro my temps with this heat sink used to be nothing more the 74c

I wouldn't imagine the thermal paste difference to be that different, but it's possible...

Personally, I wouldn't recommend using that cooler. It's pretty bad.
