Mouse Side Buttons Not Recognized In Macro Program

Hey guys, I'm wanting to make macros on my mouse 4 and 5 side buttons, but the program macrogamer doesn't seem to recognize they're there. Games recognize them, but not the program. I just have a generic Havit mouse with no specific macro software, so I unfortunately have to use third party stuff. Ideas?

Ryzen 7 2700x, MSI Gaming X RX 480 8gb, Asus ROG X470 Gaming, 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000, 120gb Kingston SSD (Boot) + 1TB Seagate Barracuda.
