Hey guys, so starting to feel like its for me to upgrade been using current pc for around 3 years and it's starting to struggle with most things. my main question goes to if I should carry over any pieces such as SSD/HDD/PSU so should I start from fresh.

This is current build :->https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3wvT3F

And now here's my mock up for new pc, I have around £2000 to spend on new build, would just like any input or if you personally would change anything about the new build.

Honestly I'd just find a used i7 4770K or 4790K, buy the 1080Ti and get a new PSU.

Assuming all he is doing is gaming, that would be a good idea.

If you are going towards content creation and you don't mind spending the money, the new build looks good to me!

System will mainly just be used for gaming and I don't mind spending the money tbh I would prefer that. just wanted advice on the new build as a whole.

Why not reuse your current cooler and psu ?

I would get faster Ram though. Not a big deal on Intel but I would still go for 3000MHz or above.

tbh I wasn't sure about this, if was okay or not to reuse them plus with using them for 3 + years and thanks about the ram will look into changing it

The G2 is a good unit so no need to change it. As for the cooler I would at least try it on the new cpu before spending on a new one. Buy a tube of thermal paste such as Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.

And some IPA to clean off the old paste from the cooler (And old cpu assuming you are going to sell it).

http://www.arcticsilver.com/arcticlean.htm is a touch more expensive but works a treat at cleaning off old thermal compound.
