Which CPU should I get?

Hi, so I am thinking about getting a new cpu, but I don't have an idea which one to choose. My budget is around $450, in the worst scenario I can go a little higher.
My current setup:
CPU: AMD FX-6300
MAINBOARD: ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 - AMD 760G
RAM: KINGSTON DDR3 8GB (Part number: KHX1866C9D3K2/8G)
GPU: GIGABYTE AMD RX580 8GB

PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 10 500W

Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Well you really need to get off the awful FX platform, you've only got two options and they are to go with Ryzen or 8th gen Intel.

Go with first gen ryzen, save yourself some money and you'll have good upgrades to save up for later
