BitFenix Phenom build

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

You could use a ssd. Also get a WD Green or Red for the hdd for quieter operation.

Why IvyB and not Haswell?

If you want quiet, don't get an AIO. I'd recommend either a Noctua cooler or just a 212 Evo and run the fan at a low rpm. The aftermarket thermal paste is not needed.

I'd also get lower profile ram for convenience's's sake.

Why such an absurdly expensive wireless adapter? Just get anything from TP-Link.

If you want a quiet system, get a seasonic or be quiet psu.

So I want to build a small Micro ATX system inside a BitFenix Phenom M (black).
The main usage for it will be movies ( 5.1 + 3D) Gaming on my TV ( full HD + 3D ) and music , web browsing. I will use it as home UPNP server too. So it need to be silent too.

I have a budget of around 800 Chf  (swiss francs).

Components ( will be updated based on your recommendations):

I don't need keyboard, nor mouse, nor screens just the pc it self. Thanks for helping me !

PS : design is important too I try to keep it black and blue.

Are you open to other cases or are you limited to the Phenom?

Sandisk is simply not the best for ssds--not that the ssd is bad but that it's hardly worth the money.

Its fine with the motherboard because I changed it? ( Gigabyte sniper M5 )

It's definitely my preferred pick but it looks like you're shooting for green.

I could go with an asus maximus IV gene and go for the red xD But I like gigabyte, I had 2 of their motherboards and had no problem except one time where they fixed it after 2 weeks ...

Getting another expensive mobo is the opposite of what I would've recommended.
