Hello,

Right now we have an issue with our imaging server, and I am trying to make a custom install of Windows 10 Education that has all the software we need installed. I followed this guide, but I am getting error "windows Could Not Display The Images Available For Installation" when I try to use the newly created install.esd file from my bootable flash drive. After it bombed out I copied the original install.esd file from a back up ISO onto the flash drive, and everything worked again.
My only note is that I did cancel my first dism attempt while making the new install.esd. I assumed this wouldn't cause any errors, but I am running it one more time to be sure.
If anyone has any ideas what might be causing my issue, I would really appreciate the input.

Thanks!

--UPDATE--

The same error occurs with a new custom install.esd.

Have you tried capturing with WDS or MDT?

Since nothing is showing as an option; thats why I was wondering if it was due to the type of source used. I wonder if it was downlaoded from the volume licencing portal. Those have usually worked for me in the past.

We have not used WDS or MDT. Right now we don't have access to a Windows server, but there is nothing stopping me from booting one up just to make a temporary image. We were going to try generating an answer file for a captured image using the Windows 10 ADK, and using that before we started up a Server VM. Not sure if that will yield any results, but we may just wind up making our own boot server if push comes to shove.
To answer your other question, I downloaded the ISO from the Windows Media Creation Tool (WMCT). WMCT has an option to make a bootable flash drive or download an ISO. I take that ISO and use rufus to make a bootable drive.

Yes, I have tried using the  bootable flash drive option, and I get the same results.
