But according to the latest info Nvidia does not plan to release next gen consumer cards any time soon. In the best case scenario they might be announced in August, but that may not happen. 

Back to the topic - overclocked 1070 Ti is pretty much the same as stock 1080. So I wouldn't say that 1080 is worth the $100 difference.

Since there is a $100 delta, get the 1070 Ti.

As said in previous posts, even just a moderate overclock on the 1070 Ti will match a 1080 stock's performance.
