planning Total War PC

Hey guys looking for some opinions for possible upgrades, here are the games that I play,

Total War Warhammer I & II for the Mortal Empires Skyrim with Mods The Sims 4

 

I did own a GTX 1070 and Warhammer seemed to be just okay, but I think I may look at a GTX 1080 or 1080Ti, would the Ti be to much currently working on some Acer 60hrz monitor but looking at a VA 1440p or IPS 1440p, suggestions, or would 1080 work just fine as well. I am more interested in the beauty then fps for the monitor as my wife is a content creator. I would be looking to start buying parts within 6 months.

Warhammer 2 is a demanding game. I have a 1440p 165hz ips gysnc monitor with a 2700x (OC 4.2) and a 1080 (oc 150 on the core and 350 on the memory) and I at ultra settings I can dip under 60 fps in certain scenarios. Now that game runs better on intel due to optimizations, but even so a 1080ti would be great. Although I would wait for next gen nvidia, as thats right around the corner.
