Frame issue after new gpu install

okay so after putting it off for a while ive finally upgraded my r7 260x to a gtx 1050 upon installation in the pc and installing the drivers i loaded up a game and immediately noticed lower frames, and im here scratching my head wondering whats going on? any ideas?

Did you uninstall the previous drivers with DDU then install the Nvidia ones?

no i uninstalled them manually, and theres no trace of them on my ssd or hdd
