Set same device for default and default communications

I play a game. In that game my friends can hear me in voice chat but I can't hear them. I look up this issue. I try to fix the issue. I update my drivers. Then I try again. Issue remains. I look up issue again. Many people have this issue fixed by setting their default communication device.

My problem: I only have one audio output. There's no way to set the same audio output as both a default device and a default communications device. (Or at least, there's no way that I know.)

I only have one microphone (Separate. Doesn't come attached with a head set or something) and one pair of stereo speakers. Both function properly.

Is there a way to set a single device for both Default and a Default Communications?

If yes, how. If no, what else can I do (without attaching another audio device) to fix this problem.

It is said that an Italian dies every time Spaghetti is broken.

That's why I break mine twice.

It looks like your setup correctly. As long as you don't see a telephone icon buy you sound device, the check-mark will signify that it is the default communication and sound device.

I might check what port your game uses and see if it is allowed on your router. I'd also check in-game settings to see if there is something that isn't set correctly
